General Description: The Forestry Foreperson will manage and oversee the daily projects and personnel of the forestry department for the Olmsted Park System which consists of 850 acres of urban parkland with approximately 16,000 trees. This is a hands-on position extensively utilizing forestry equipment in their daily projects which may include: tree establishment, maintenance, training and protection, pruning, tree removal, pesticide application and equipment maintenance. The position is part of the Forestry Department and reports directly to the Forestry Manager.
