Tree Technicians (Development Services Technician II)

Seeking candidates with customer service and teamwork skills and background/interest in interpreting code and regulations. Tree Techs manage the citywide Tree Hotline and respond to customer inquiries via phone, web, email to review and process tree permit applications and issue over the counter tree permits and to guide customers through the tree permitting process. The work is fast paced, requires excellent customer service skills, and technical tree knowledge is preferred but not required. Applications due 1/30/23.

Botanic Specialists

Seeking candidates for multiple positions on the Science & Policy and Tree Planting teams. Responsibilities vary, including: locating space for and planting trees; providing outreach and customer service to diverse public stakeholders; managing procurement, planting, and establishment contracts; collecting data on urban trees; and reporting on programs and studies related to Portland’s urban forest. Apply soon!
