This position will serve as the Natural Resources Educator and will provide outreach education in natural resources and community forestry education for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Onondaga County. This position will deliver existing natural resources educational programming and training sessions to both adults and youth. This position will utilize existing program resources and materials in program work, assist in the creation of program lesson plans, utilize a variety of delivery methods and assist in delivering innovative educational programs as designed.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to: communicating with program partners to arrange program delivery to adults and youth; recruit volunteers for community events including web and social media promotion; provide oversight and deliver training sessions to volunteers coordinating volunteer projects; collecting and processing registrations; and reporting program participation data in a timely manner. The Program Educator II will work in partnership with the Natural Resources team on program delivery efforts. This position will require the application of Association policy and coordination with outside organizations and counties.
